A little about me

I build operating systems for fun.

I’m from a small fishing village on an island in the Chesapeake bay. My first operating system was PC-DOS not to be confused with Microsoft DOS. Then windows 95 was released, and I was on windows full time until high school. In my senior year of high school, hurricane Isabel took everything from me. I had no choice but to go dumpster diving for a new computer. I was able to salvage everything I needed to build a “Frankensystem” minus a hard disk drive, and a copy of windows. That is when I met Linux for the first time, and I’ve used Linux as my daily driver ever since. April 2021 Linux User Magazine Featured Hefftor Linux in a five page article.

Linux User Magazine

WHAT A SURPRISE!

I checked my mailbox to find this package one day. To find the Linux Distribution I help build was featured in a Magazine in Germany. The Editor of the Magazine was kind enough to send me a copy.

HefftorLinux pleases with its consistent design. There are variants with the common desktops XFCE, Gnome and KDE Plasma. The Hefftor design largely hides the optical differences, but the respective usage scheme remains the same. If you are looking for a particularly slim desktop, you can choose one of the two variants with a window manager.

ISO Building

There are many diverse versions of linux. Those of us in the know, call them distributions. I currently help maintain 3 different versions of Linux.

Design & Development

I love to conceptualize and develop ideas into reality. Design done color blind, isn't exactly life threatening but we can still call it dangerous.

Team Work

I'm excellent at building team rapport. I believe the more diverse a project the better the potential for the project ot achieve great things.

The Next Chapter

“We are all different people all through our lives and that’s okay, that’s good you’ve got to keep moving so long as you remember all the people that you used to be.”

                                                                       -the Doctor

The Next Chapter is up to the characters in the play. I’m always looking for new cohorts. Need something made? Drop me a line!
